SUBMISSIONS CLOSE 28 AUGUST 2020
Featherdale Wildlife Park invites primary school students to participate in our 2nd FEATHERDALE THREATENED SPECIES SCHOOLS CHALLENGE, a project-based learning activity designed to raise awareness about Australian endangered species. Students are welcome to enter individually or as a group.
You can win a 30-minute Virtual Education Session for your class at Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park, to be delivered during September 2020. Students are invited to respond in creative and clever ways to the following brief:
- Design your dream Featherdale Threatened Species Enclosure- complete a model or a diagram of the enclosure with a description and any other information why it deserves to win
- Your submission will include a minimum 200-word submission detailing information about your chosen Featherdale endangered species, its current habitat, threats to its native habitat and suggestions for habitat improvement in the future.
Submissions will close on 5pm, Friday 28th August 2020. Finalists and the 4 winning submissions will be showcased on the Featherdale website on NATIONAL THREATENED SPECIES DAY, Monday 7th September 2020.
Schools from across Australia, and even international schools, are welcome to participate as the winning classes’ prize will delivered virtually (during Sydney time school hours 9am-4pm)
