School Holiday Fun at Featherdale
12th June, 2015
Featherdale Wildlife Park is celebrating birthday this July and to mark the occasion, the Park is offering anyone born in July free entry on their birthday.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. Featherdale will also be hosting a range of special animal encounters throughout the June and July school holidays. From daily Tasmanian devil enrichment talks to farmyard feedings, the Park will have something for everyone this school break.
City kids will have the chance to meet all their farmyard favourites including baby goats, lambs and pigs. Little ones will also enjoy baby animal encounters at 2pm daily where they can get up close with a baby bilby or wallaby joey. More adventurous souls will delight in the Rapt in Reptile encounter that will see them up close and personal with all things slimy and scaly every day at 12.30pm.
Anyone visiting in July will also have a shot at taking home a family escape to Mantra Wollongong for 2 nights in a two-bedroom apartment or a $500 John Cootes Furniture voucher. To go in the running, visitors only have to purchase a meal combo at the Billabong cafe or spend over $15.00 in the souvenir centre from 27th June to 31st July 2015.
On 5 July, Featherdale will be hosting a Community Day. Visit the park between 10am-2pm on 5 July and you will have the chance to hop in a police vehicle and sound the sirens as Blacktown Local Area Command (LAC) pays a visit. This is a great opportunity for officers to talk with adults and especially the kids of all ages about stranger danger and crime prevention in a safe and fun environment. Constable Charlie Penguin will be there to meet and greet kids. There will also be a sausage sizzle, face painting and giveaways making it a fun and educational day for all. Visit the Featherdale website to access great packages for families to attend the Community Day.
