Animals of Featherdale

Featherdale Wildlife Park, Sydney is home to over 2,000 beautiful Australian animals.  It's hard to pick a favourite as all of our animals have such unique and diverse personalities but our Keepers develop special bonds with some of the animals under their care.  Each week, we'd like to introduce you to some of these amazing animals and the keepers who care for them.  We'll upload a new video every Wednesday afternoon, so check out our YouTube feed.

For our very first week, we'd like to introduce you to young Koala joey, Archer who has experienced a tough start to life.  After keepers discovered he wasn't growing big and strong like other Koala joeys his age, Park Curator Chad Staples stepped in to take Archer under his care and give him the best possible chance of survival.  It's always a tough decision when removing young animals from the care of their parents, but in this case it was determined that Archer faced little chance of making it without intervention.  We'll keep you updated on Archer's progress so be sure to follow our Facebook page and subscribe to our newsletter.
