Diet: Its varied diet includes insects, eggs, small reptiles, mammals and nestling birds.
Habitat: Thick undergrowth and cane fields.
Breeding: It may nests twice during a breeding season that extends mainly from October to March. The nest is a bowl of green leaky twigs built on a platform of trampled grass, over which surrounding vegetation is woven to from a canopy.
