Size: 65 - 75cm
Status: Common in Tasmania possibly extinct on the mainland.
Diet: Large insects, reptiles, birds, small mammals and carrion.
Habitat: Dry sclerophyll forest, scrub and Heathland.
Breeding: Mating takes place May to June and after a gestation of 3 weeks up to six young attach themselves to the mothers nipples.
