| | Dingo
The dingo differs from the domestic dog in that it does not bark and only breeds once a year. The most recent native animal.
It is believed that dingos were bought to Australia about 5,000 years ago by Aboriginals, making them newcomers compared to the other Australian animals. Dingos live all through Australia except for Tasmaina. They prefer open grassland terrain.
Although they look like dogs, they never bark, but make a low whine of howling noise. They are too aggressive to make good pets. |
