Size: 72 - 85cm
Status: Abundant
Diet: Most native grasses and may dig approximately 30cm into soil to eat roots of grasses.
Habitat: Tropical coastal plains and also found in the south east of Papua Guinea.
Breeding: Capable of breeding at any time during the year, give birth to a single young per year.
