Sometimes, the best classroom is no classroom at all. At Featherdale, we work closely with education authorities to provide an educational resource that reflects the latest curriculum requirements.

Many teachers tell us how much more involving it is for students when they see over 230 species of birds, 30 species of mammals and a large number of reptiles in their natural habitats. (But then, that's the whole idea of Featherdale).

Education Amphitheatre
One of the latest additions at Featherdale is an amphitheatre which forms part of our new education area. The amphitheatre seats up to 90 students where they learn about and interact with Australian native animals.

Wildlife Wanderer Mobile Education Program
If you can't bring your students to the animals, we'll bring animals to you. It saves the hassle of organising transport, extra staff and lunches. Your "Wildlife Wanderer" visit includes a hands-on lesson with Australian native animals of your choice in your very own classroom or outdoor learning area.
