  • Feathers, Fur, Fun and Scales at Featherdale

Some times the best classroom is no class room at all! At Featherdale it’s very important that each lesson is highly interactive, fun and informative. Our qualified Education Officer’s will provide you and your students with an entertaining educational lesson, tailored to the KLA or theme of your choice.
Featherdale’s outdoor covered amphitheatre is bright and comfortable, situated amongst trees in fresh air, making learning a fun and memorable experience!

The excursion itself is a great sensory experience of sight, sound, smell and touch. Each lesson is hands on, allowing students to get up close to a wide range of Aussie animals.
During each lesson, up to 4 animals are presented. The animals habitat, diet and other interesting features are discussed. The animal is then brought around so each student is able to pat, scratch, tickle, rub and feel the unique creature.
